Marcus Miller, during his 45 years of career to date, has amassed 2 Grammy Awards, the Edison Award for the entirety of his work and a “Victoire du Jazz” award, to cite but a few of the distinctions given to him throughout the world. In 2013, he was named “Artist for Peace” by UNESCO and spokesperson for the Slave Routes project.
Marcus is a creator, a producer, a multiinstrumentalist, an exceptional and prolific composer. His many collaborations with the greatest names, Miles Davis, Eric Clapton, George Benson, Aretha Franklin, Brian Ferry, Wayne Shorter, Al Jarreau, Herbie Hancock and Carlos Santana among others, have shaped his musical environment. Each stage appearance by Marcus Miller, together with talented young musicians, is an event in a universe located between modern-day Funk, Soul and Jazz… Marcus Miller can turn his hand to anything and does so with brio.
