DJ Oil

Lionel Corsini, alias DJ Oil, is a French composer, musician (bass, drums, keyboards), DJ and producer of electronic music.
Born on September 5, 1971 in Marseille, he practices wild or official raves from the age of 15. At the age of 17, he became DJ Oil, resident DJ at the Trolleybus in Marseille. He has long hosted a show on Radio Grenouille.
Lionel Corsini is the founder of the band Troublemakers with Fred Berthet and Arnaud Taillefer, whom he meets at the “Friche Belle de Mai”. From his first record Doubts & Convictions released in 2000 on the US label Guidance Recordings. The band will have international recognition. Their second album, Express Way, was released in 2004 on Blue Note USA .

He travels across Africa and the Americas for 4 years with a composition and live project of more than 300 musicians. From these trips will come out several solo albums like PHANTOM on the label BBE (London), Black Notes on PIAS or Bref avenir, published in 2018, by the “Disques de la mort” the label of Ivan Smagghe .

He released in 2024 PHANTOM reissued on Tangential Music and an album, Rise of a cosmic dancer, in September on the same label. 2025 will be the year of a new album on Multi cuti (Montreal) and a new set that always oscillates between jazz and techno
