DJ and producer of Tropical Funk, Afro Soul and Jazz music since 1995, Julien Lebrun is also co-founder of the label HOT CASA Records, specialised in republishing and producing Afro Funk music. Globe-trotter passionate about the search for rare records, it is in West Africa that he establishes solid links with producers and musicians of afrobeat and tropical soul. Resident DJ in China, Japan and New York, he is dedicated to sharing the sounds of the underground soul scenes of the past and present. It celebrates the 20th anniversary of the label, with more than 80 vinyl releases by renowned artists such as Vaudou Game, DjeuhDjoah & Lieutenant Nicholson, Florian Pellissier Quintet or Orlando Julius, among others.
