After ten years of accompanying, composing and writing for others, daoud decided to embark on his own path. daoud has built a reputation as an ugly duckling in a new scene mixing jazz and hip-hop inspirations, r’n’b and electronica. The Franco-Moroccan trumpeter is inspired by absurdism and a sense of inadequacy to draw compositions that are sure to irritate purists. Winner of the Jazz ConneXion 2022 springboard, the group has already performed at the Festival Jazz au Phare, Jazz sur son 31, La Rochelle Jazz, Jazz sur Seine, Festival de Jazz de Montréal, and as the opening act for Erik Truffaz, Ibrahim Maalouf or Lakecia Benjamin as well as in legendary theaters in France and abroad and a first album is announced for this year.
