The Slippery Rock University Jazz Ensemble (Pennsylvania, USA) proudly continues a tradition of excellence over forty years in the making. Throughout its history, the award-winning SRU Jazz Ensemble has performed at jazz concert venues in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. In their most recent European Tour, the SRU Jazz Ensemble was featured at the North Sea and Montreux Jazz Festivals. The group has also appeared at multiple Jazz Education Network. SRU Jazz Ensemble has had the privilege of performing concerts with world-class jazz legends such as Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker, John Clayton, Rufus Reid, Jerry Bergonzi, Dennis Mackrel, Michael Davis, John Daversa, Sean Jones, and many others. The SRU Jazz Ensemble has recorded seven albums since 2000, including a 2016 project that features saxophonist Troy Roberts, as well as several studio-recorded videos – available on YouTube – which have over 73,000 views.
