The Jad Salameh Trio presents a jazz transcended by incursions into pop, in which the concepts of jazz music are built, deconstructed and rebuilt. This trio plays with emotions by way of piano playing that is at times minimalist, reaching out into infinity, and at other times so spirited that it sweeps away everything in its path, while drums and double bass cement the foundations of Jad Salameh’s compositions. In the tradition of The Bad Plus or E.S.T., the Jad Salameh Trio explores the sweet madness of a post-apocalyptic moment.
